Manufacturer and brand
The Manufacturer module lets you assign a manufacturer to each product and shows its name on the product page. It is on by default.
It is not the GPSR module. The details the General Product Safety Regulation asks for (manufacturer and importer address and contact, the EU responsible person, safety warnings and instructions) are entered with the GPSR module.
Manufacturer
Section titled “Manufacturer”The module uses the polski_manufacturer taxonomy. Manage the list under Products > Manufacturers and assign a manufacturer in the product edit screen. Variations can carry their own manufacturer.
The manufacturer name is shown:
- on the single product page, as “Manufacturer: name”,
- wherever you place the
[polski_manufacturer]shortcode or the matching block.
The shortcode takes one optional attribute, product, the product ID. Without it, it uses the current product:
[polski_manufacturer][polski_manufacturer product="789"]The manufacturer taxonomy has no public archive pages.
Brands
Section titled “Brands”Brands are a separate module, Brands, off by default. It registers the public polski_brand taxonomy, managed under Products > Brands, with archive pages at /marka/brand-name/.

GTIN/EAN
Section titled “GTIN/EAN”The plugin reads the GTIN from WooCommerce’s own GTIN, UPC, EAN or ISBN field (WooCommerce 8.4 and newer). When that field is empty, it falls back to the _polski_gtin product meta, which the polski_gtin CSV import column writes.
The number is not validated. Check the check digit yourself, for example with the GS1 calculator.
Structured data and feeds
Section titled “Structured data and feeds”With the Structured Data (Schema.org) module on, the product JSON-LD gets:
