Getting started

Most shops can publish a shareable gift registry in a few minutes. Install Registry, set the options, and create a registry from My Account.

  • WordPress 6.5 or newer
  • WooCommerce installed and active
  • PHP 8.1 or newer
  1. Install WooCommerce and make sure it is active.
  2. Install Registry from the plugin directory (when live on WordPress.org) or upload the registry folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
  3. Activate the plugin.

Open WooCommerce → Gift Registries in wp-admin:

  • Allow direct purchase — let guests buy straight from the shared registry page. With it off, the buy button sends guests to the product page.
  • Review the remaining options and the inline help on each setting.
  1. Log in as a customer and open My Account → Gift Registries.
  2. Create a registry, choose the event type and event date, and name it.
  3. Open any product page and add the product to your registry with a desired quantity.
  4. Open the registry’s public page and copy the share link.
  1. Open the shared registry page and buy a gift (or place a test order containing a registry item).
  2. Mark the order paid in wp-admin.
  3. Reload the public page — the purchased quantity should update and the remaining count should drop.

Use the shortcode to show a specific registry on any page — for example an event landing page.

The free edition covers creating and managing registries, event type and date, adding from product pages, the shareable public page, purchase tracking, optional direct purchase and the shortcode.

Registry PRO (planned) adds multiple registries per customer, group gifting and contributions, registry themes and thank-you tracking.
